So to get back at Eloana, Isbeth starts messing with Eloana son's- Malik and Casteel in revenge for the death of her son at the hands of Eloana (but supposedly Alastir kills). We also find out in A Crown of Gilded Bones that this whole war really got created because Eloana (Malec's first wife and Casteel's mother) was jealous that Malec and Isbeth fell in love so Eloana imprisoned Malec under the Blood Forest and supposedly killed Malec and Isbeth's son that we just learned about. How that happened, I have no effing idea because Isbeth is suppose to be in love with Malec, but Ires is his twin so who knows? Anywho. Also, refresher so that means that Ires is Poppy's Father and Isbeth is Poppy's Mother. Just a refresher, but hes the caged cat that Poppy remembers seeing as a child. Ok, in A Crown of Gilded Bones, we find out from Nektas (a Drakon) that Nytos Consort aka Sera is still asleep and cannot wake up because Ires (Nytos and Sera's God son and twin to Malec AND Poppy's father) is imprisoned by Isbeth and needs to be returned to Illiseeum. So if you haven't read it, go on back and read it and then come back to this. God, I LOVE IT! Secondly, this theory will reveal some spoilers if you haven't read the first three books of Blood & Ash Series AND the first three chapters of A Shadow in the Ember (prequel to Blood & Ash). First off, this series is truly a chefs kiss.
